A clean mouth, a longer life

Hi Reader

We’ve watched a lot of puppies grow up here at Ravendox, and we’ve also seen just how quickly those baby teeth turn into a full set of adult ones.

One minute they’re gnawing on soft toys, the next they’re trying to take on the world with those tiny jaws.

And while it’s easy to focus on the cuddles and the playtime (because who wouldn’t), there’s one thing we always keep an eye on that isn’t talked about enough: dental health.

It’s not flashy.
It’s not Instagram-worthy.
But it’s absolutely essential… especially for Dachshunds.

This breed tends to be more prone to plaque buildup, gum disease, and early tooth loss if dental care isn’t part of the routine. And unfortunately, dental issues can sneak up on you, leading to much bigger problems if left unchecked.

That’s why we don’t wait.

From the time they’re just a few weeks old, our puppies are gently exposed to mouth handling.

We introduce textures and safe chew toys that naturally support clean teeth.
We talk to them.
We lift their lips.
We make it normal.

So by the time they’re in your home, you can check their mouth and it’s just part of the day.

And this is where you get to continue what we’ve started.

Our go to for dental health is:
PawTree’s plaque control chews

We love them because they’re easy, effective, and pups actually enjoy them. It’s a simple way to stay ahead of buildup without turning it into a chore.. with pawTree's plaque control chews you can say good bye to the toothbrush, the mess and the headaches that come with bad breath and bad teeth. It is a delicious treat that your puppy will absolutely love.

It is that simple.

And because we’re all about the fun facts too, did you know dogs can develop plaque in as little as 24 hours? That means the small things you do daily will have a huge impact over the long run.

We raise our puppies with the goal of giving them the healthiest, happiest life possible—not just in our home, but in yours.

And that includes the details most people overlook… like teeth.

So while they’re still growing and learning here with us, just know: we’re already laying the groundwork.

All you have to do is pick up the baton and keep going.

With love,
Sherry

Hey Reader, Most people see a dachshund and think “lap dog.”And yes, they do love to burrow under the blankets and nap on your feet. But don’t let that fool you.
